Tenerife Pubs

The pub is a fixture of the southern resorts and there is no point being coy about why: the island has taken British and Irish visitors in very large numbers for sixty years, and a great many stayed. What that produced is a real pub trade rather than a themed one, concentrated in Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje.

What they are useful for, beyond the obvious, is sport. Almost all of them show British and Irish football, rugby and racing, and the bigger fixtures are the reason to book a table rather than turn up. Most serve food from the middle of the day through to late evening.
