Tenerife Villas

Villa stock on Tenerife sits mostly above the southern coast, in the hillside urbanisations behind Costa Adeje and Playa Paraiso, and along the quieter west around Los Gigantes and Guia de Isora. The draw is a private pool and a view, usually at a price per head that undercuts two hotel rooms once there are more than four of you.

The trade-off is that almost all of them need a car. They are built on slopes above the resorts rather than in them, so walking down to a restaurant is easy and walking back is not. The northern villas are fewer, greener and cheaper, and come with the north's cloudier weather.
