Tenerife Theme & animal parks

Tenerife carries the biggest parks in the archipelago and they are the island's most-visited paid attractions by a wide margin. The southern cluster sits behind Costa Adeje and is water-based: slides, wave pools and a Thai-themed park that regularly tops international rankings.

The northern cluster is at Puerto de la Cruz and is animal-based, built around a parrot collection that has been there since 1972 and has grown into a full zoo and aquarium. Smaller parks around the island do monkeys, camels, eagles and a scale model of the Canarian towns. Tickets are meaningfully cheaper booked ahead than at the gate, and the big two each need most of a day.
