Tenerife Laundries

Laundry is one of those things nobody plans for and everybody needs by the second week. Self-service launderettes have spread across the resort towns, most of them card operated and open long hours, with machines that wash and dry in about an hour.

The alternative is a drop-off service, where clothes are washed, dried and folded for collection the same day or the next, usually priced by the bag or the kilo. Hotels do this too and charge several times as much. The launderettes cluster in Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje, where the apartment stock is, with a smaller number in Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz.
